Main properties of Safflower
Also commonly known as "false saffron", it can reach a height between 20 and 60 cm. Safflower is a very ancient plant native to India but widespread in Africa and the Mediterranean basin. Even seeds have been found in Egyptian tombs dating back to 3500 years BC
Antipyretic properties: since the Middle Ages it has been used to lower the body temperature in case of flu.
Anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving action: it has an effective anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving action thanks to a large number of active ingredients and vitamin C.
Relieves menstrual and menopausal pain: by promoting menstrual flow, relieves menstrual and menopausal pains.
Coagulating and preventive action of osteoporosis: rich in vitamin K, it facilitates the production of prothrombin which acts in the blood coagulation processes. The osteocalin contained is a component of bone tissues, therefore useful in the prevention of osteoporosis.
Fights cholesterol: rich in omega 6 (especially oil), it has an excellent anti-cholesterol action.
